With this one it's very easy to tell what is AI and what is real. They should be required to have a watermark if the flooring, walls, or other fixtures are digitally altered, though.

NP. I don't think AI should be used on a listing except to show how it would look staged with furniture and decor. It can be confusing to see different finishes like wood flooring and stone where it doesn't exist now.

There should be a requirement that if a picture is AI generated it has a label that says AI generated. There are times when you have to flip back and forth and try to guess if it's the real photo or if it's fake.

What's your problem with staging and AI? This is how life is going to be, OP. Start adjusting.

Yeah I'm not seeing this as too terribly problematic. They are clearly showing the existing conditions, with more photos of what it currently is. Then they show a few photos of select rooms of what it could be. Would those changes be expensive? Probably, but they don't update the kitchen, so I'm not sure it's "hundreds of thousands."

I don't like it when listings are clearly AI staged and most of the photos are AI. But when it's a few, it's very clear the difference, and it's not just the furniture, I think it's ok. Maybe they should be labeled, I can agree with that.

First, there is nothing fake or lying about staging a house.

Second, in the listing you posted, the rooms in their current state are posted immediately before or after the rooms that have been "decorated" using AI. Only a blithering idiot would need to be informed that the nicer looking image has been modified.

They don't even bother telling you it's fake staged or AI. I couldn't and wouldn't work with a deceptive realtor like this. This would cost hundreds of thousands to do on an already overpriced home!
