If they fire you for cause you may not get severance. If going to the office is psychologically harmful to you and there is some sort of self-employment “project” you can pivot to while you look for your next gig, I would consider resigning. The folks here who say you should tough it out for money’s sake aren’t thinking of your mental health.

Don’t quit - if they fire you you get unemployment and hopefully some severance. Negotiate the severance if you can! Good luck - and they’re the problem - not you. They should be humiliated - not you!

OP, no. You hang onto that job, try to do a good job, and in the evenings, you apply for as many other jobs as you can. Try to find another job before you leave.

Op - it feels like going into a war zone every day. I think my boss is trying to break me and it’s working. I can’t avoid the spotlight and it’s so brutal. And really don’t want to be fired / I would rather own the decision. And say to my boss - you should have who you need. I just hate the idea of it being someone else’s decision

Absolutely not - let them fire you so you can collect unemployment. Meanwhile, quiet quit - do the bare minimum, and update your resume and tell everyone you are looking for a new job. It's ALWAYS easier to find a job when you have one, and in this economy, it's tougher. And start looking for a new job, and don't sweat the crazy at your current place - you will be out of there soon

About to get fired from job. Has been a hostile work environment with so many issues that are all written down. Do i quit first? So humiliating and am not sure i can spend one more day in this situation.
