The Hooked on Phonics ‘Advanced’ program leap frogged my DC from Grade 2 to Grade 4 in 40 lessons in 40 days. It’s difficult to get your hands on this follow-on program to their original curriculum, but the progress was astonishing.

There are so many good choices in this area. I’ve heard good things about Kidder Educational Consulting (www.kiddereducation.com), as well as Casey’s Special Education (www.caseythespeducator.com), and Lab School tutors

I'm interested on finding a tutor for reading for my rising 3rd grader. Anyone knows a good tutor? We live in Rockville area so preferably I need it for in person sessions.
