Do you have any suggestions for tool? What kind of a digging fork do you use? Should I also get a serrated spade?

Liriope is invading my garden beds. I tried digging it up correctly today (digging deep to get the little balls) but that completely disturbed my other plants. Also I am working alone and I am not strong enough for that type of digging. Is there another way to get rid of it? If I just pull it out every time it pops up, don’t the rhizomes eventually get starved?
