That seems much higher than expected and I wonder if LACs or single-sex LACs have a higher queer-identifying population generally, or if this is just a Wellesley thing?

Why does this matter? I mean this seriously. I know women who have went to Wellesley. Some are queer. Some are not. All are VERY smart women and loved their time there.

Normal, well-adjusted young women do not attend these schools any more, and normal families do not send their daughters there any longer.

As both the husband and son of Wellesley alumnae, I find the decline of these institutions profoundly sad. But it is what it is.

If normal means MAGA, then you have a point.
NYC schools all have a strong pipeline sending brilliant kids to Wellesley every year.

LGBT doesn't mean anything anymore. I'm willing to bet the vast majority these are straight girls claiming to be "queer"

Who cares? Most young people don't have rigid conceptions of sexuality anymore.

I went to Meredith College, an all women's school across from NC State in the early 1990s so my experience was a different university, different state, different time. However, I never saw much an an LGBTQ presence at all. Many families were super conservative there and many of my classmates dated guys at NC State with an eye on getting married as soon as possible.

Does someone attending a women’s college have a phobia towards queer women?

The response rate of the survey is less than 25 percent.

LGBTQ doesn’t mean you can’t have a straight partner or relationship.
