State Farm forces you to litigate claims against them so when they lose, they lose big.
I was rear-ended by a State Farm driver, minor accident, not injured and had an $1600 estimate to get my car fixed. Once it was at the body shop State Farm got into a pissing match with the shop about a $180 parts supplement. This went on for 3 months, I had to get an attorney involved to get it straightened out. Long story short, State Farm paid over $10,000 to close a claim that would have only cost them $2,000 over $180.
