I’m not familar enough with Bucknell’s location, but just sharing in case helpful.

Did the student at the rural school go in as a non-drinker?

Bucknell is a huge drinking school. My close friend’s daughter just finished freshman year and thinks it’s so great how the frats have all the mixed drinks labeled with their ingredients. This is what the mom thinks! It’s a ton of partying or being left out. Sorry.

There is a lot of drinking at Bucknell. There’s not much else to do there. A non-drinker will find other non-drinkers but the social life there is mostly centered around drinking.

Not enough to strike it from your list but good to know if you are considering the school.

Of course this is true, but it doesn’t negate the fact that some schools have more of a partying and drinking culture.

+1
I have a friend with a son at Liberty and this is indeed true. Plenty of kids drink there too.

The Kool Aid that’s pumped through the Bucknell pipes that lead to The Street.
