No one wears suits though he should have one just in case for a meeting or something. Slacks, basic Brooks Brothers dress shirts in blue, white, very plain pattern/stripes.

Cole Haan Oxfords.

Belt that matches shoes (amazing how many men on Wall Street don't wear a belt and look like schlubs).

Not PP, but just adding that spending the 4th in the city would not be the worst thing. The Macy's fireworks are truly spectacular and worth sticking around for.

He should wear a blue suit on the first day with a white shirt. Once he is assigned to a seat, he should.again wear the suit and leave his suit jacket on his chair so it's there if he needs it in the future.

My kid will be with him, I am not planning on her coming home at all during the internship. Even if/when they get a day off they're going to want to explore the city with their new friends.

He will not know maybe until the last minute, and it could hurt his reputation to ask. I would leave room for him (not friends) but not put any pressure on him and expect that it might fall through.

I'm 99.9% sure that the summer interns at DH's bank are not at the office on 4th of July weekend while everyone else is out east.

Son is beginning an internship this summer. Anyone know whether they wear suits daily and oxfords for shoes or depends on the place? I heard white shirts only? Is that correct? Also, they work 6 days per week generally but what about July 4th weekend? No I am not hovering - trying to plan holiday and want to know if I should leave room for them to possibly come to the summer house for weekend (maybe with friends) or not for holiday.
