As one of the people who posted, I don't think I have a boss problem. I think there's a problem between my boss and me, and I was looking for guidance on how to negotiate it

Well, there is a difference between leaders and managers.

It's a bell shaped curve. I have had great bosses, some lousy ones who should not be managing people, but most are OK, maybe we had a couple of differences but patched them up because we are adults.

Bad ones can make your life miserable, which is why they are posted here.

I don't think it's DCUM's problem. While it would be nice to Solve the Boss Problem, what some people need most is to tell their specific stories--which this site does admirably.
