Also protect your hair from the sun if you have thinning hair. Some people are born with good genes for hair; others have to take care and nuture. I started to wear caps, hats, scarves and it helped with thinning hair.

Would you mind sharing the dosages for each of these?

1.25 mg minoxidil and 100 mg spironolactone.

I have a lot of hair, but it’s very fine and thin in the sides. I started Nutrafol a month ago and am seeing new growth. Two stylists anecdotally told me they saw results in their clients who took it, which is partly why I took the plunge. I hear it takes about three months to see real results.

It’s pricey but worth it to me so far. I was denied an oral monoxidil scrip but will go that route if this doesn’t work.

Not this poster, but I’ve increased to 1.875 mg oral minoxidil (3/4 of a 2.5 tablet, they split so easily) and 50 mg spironolactone and am very happy with the results. It does take time to work.

Nutrafol worked great for me. And then HRT.

Take a day off from styling your hair and let it just rest.

Vacations do wonders for healthy hair!

A single day is a vacation? Deep conditioning is not a vacation it's a bunch of chemicals.

Nutrafol Women's Balance worked really well for me. The $$ monthly though is just too high, so I asked my dr for an oral minoxidil prescription which I'll be starting soon.

I've always had kind of crappy hair. Very fine. I want to take something to thicken it; anyone ever had success? I signed up for HERS vitamins that have minoxidil in them but when the doc sent a list of the side effects I chickened out. Let me know if you've found success taking anything. Thanks!
