Careful posting derogatory accusations along with club and initials. Make sure it’s not slander.

You need to make sure she knows it’s not her fault. It’s him, not her or anything she is doing to deserve that kind of treatment. She can only control what she can control and the only opinion of her that matters is her own. Seriously look for another club. You don’t need to tell the TD or anyone else why. That’s your business. No amount of perceived benefit is worth the toxicity and destroying her confidence and self worth. No single club or coach holds the key to her success. She holds that key.

Leave and, if inclined, send a very brief message to the TD explaining why you are leaving. If the TD/club is worth a damn, they’ll take it seriously and maybe, down the road, that club will be an option for your kid.

Its like our HS coach had a twin!

My DS is a Ulittle and toxic teammates and coach made him miserable. He wanted to quit. So we walked on the spring season. Went to tryouts and found a better club and coach (at least from initial impressions).

You go up the chain, and then leave the club. If your kid is miserable, don't stay.

Been in your shoes. You don’t navigate toxic coaches, you leave. Find a coach who believes in your child.

It’s tough to say, but the best thing to do is leave. Clubs and coaches don’t reform or reflect.

My DD had a toxic coach last year and it really destroyed her confidence and love of soccer. We escalated but nothing changed. We ended up changing clubs for this year and it was the best thing we could have done for her.

Which club?

Yikes. I would directly bring up the worst offenses to the Coach/ Club.

Speak w your DD that is not ok and you are considering changing teams. Tell you DD to keep you informed about issues. Try to take an even handed approach if you aren't witnessing the toxic behavior directly. Some kids mis-characterize issues.
