Ramers! They carry lots of wide shoes and will fit him properly.

My kids with wide feet went from stride rite to a mix of saucony, new balance, and under armor. We found the new balance ones to be terrible quality.

Just to temper your expectations- my DD has extra wide feet, and when she was younger we went to Shoe Train for many years. Every time we went, there would be no more than 2-3 pairs in her size. Sometimes only two or even one. (Once we needed a pair of nice dress shoes and they had exactly one pair in her size. It was hideous but I bought it anyway because I couldn’t find anything else, at all). I think about 90% of her sneakers have always been New Balance. Hopefully the selection is better for boys.

Are there any other kids shoe stores that do this? Last time we went to show train we had to wait an hour to get fitted.

Soccer cleats are designed to be very tight fitted and narrow. I have no luck in finding soccer cleats for recreational soccer player that does not cost me too much. I am told that those special brands cost more than $100 for cleats.

DP. Not our experience. We have been buying only NB for maybe 5 years now. They have never fallen apart yet.

Interesting. PP who suggested and we haven’t had that experience. Other kid has had some Nikes and Under Armour that looked like crap after a couple months, though.

And agree with PP that soccer cleats are v. hard.

New balance works for my son with wide feet. I still have not figured out an affordable brand for soccer cleats that are good for wide feet. I do not justify to pay more than $100 for soccer cleats that lasts for maybe 1-2 seasons. Each season is like 6 weeks for recreational player.

New Balance has different widths for kids. For adults it has many lengths and several widths.

Shoe train in Potomac helped my wide footed kid. But as PP noted, more often than not he got New Balance.

Can you all help me please? My 9 y.o son is currently a 4.5 youth sized sneakers but often while trying on new shoes he mentions it's tight in the toe box. Can you all recommend a store or a brand that carries wide shoes for children?
