You have to wear a tampon with those!

That's just not going to work for us. I know I'm a heavy bleeder compared to the average, but even my teen daughter with a much lighter flow couldn't wear that in the pool. We have period underwear, which we wear with pads. I assume the period swimwear is meant to be worn with tampons. Otherwise there's no way.

Huh? Why would the tampon absorb water. If it is you’re not using it correctly.
OP, snapper rock makes cute ones. None of them are cheap, but my teen mixes and matches bikinis all the time, so you could just get a couple of the black bottoms

My DD found that period swimwear was fine for something like swim team practice where you get in the pool then get out and go shower/change. But it was not good for a day lounging around the pool going in and out of the water. After an experience getting out of the water and sitting down on a towel and leaving a red puddle she learned how to use tampons.

Yeah these aren’t for girls on heavy days. It’s the same concept as a swim diaper, it holds in chunks but not liquid. Physics makes it so that you won’t bleed in the pool. These suits might work while you are dry and on land. But once you get out of the pool? I can’t imagine it’d stop a line of blood down your leg. If you have a light flow (meaning a liner or small pad works for you) these are probably fine. But there’s no magic lining that can absorb period blood AND water endlessly.

Wouldn’t the bathing suit absorb to capacity with water when you in the pool? Leaving no capacity left once you get out?
