You are reacting to this in the most immature manner. You think someone trying to maximize how much they get out of selling probably the largest asset they have is something to insult? You have problems and I would never want to sell to someone like you.

The house is on a side street and not on a major thoroughfare. Jackson Street is famous for the halloween and christmas displays. If you buy on this street you would need to invest in going all out for the Halloween decorations.

Ok I was going to put in an offer but now I’m not. This forced participation and secret judging sounds awful.

Very interesting. The attic has a sink!

Why should the seller get the market rate?

You are jealous.

I am amused that OP thinks it is a “frustrating layout.” So I guess she thinks she deserves a 4 bedroom house that was just gut renovated to an open plan on a quiet side street for under $1 mil in close-in Arlington.

I’ve been on the market for 8 months. It’s beyond frustrating trying to find a place to buy these days if your not in the million dollar bracket

Ok so you think that means people are snobs for selling their million+ homes for what the market will bear?

You are the snob OP because you refuse to accept the type of house you can actually afford. Plenty of homes available under $1 mil, you just think you are too good for them.

NP, and sorry. It’s very difficult buying a house here. I hope you get one soon.

This. Having a set time for bids due is pretty standard in this area. Though it’s usually the Tuesday after the first weekend. Sunday morning is a pretty tight timeline.

They probably already have an offer in hand already.
