Sounds like this may be incorrect though. I too would love a little hitch up at my armpits.

They're not really unless you have huge boobs to start with and it is more of a reduction plus lift. Talk to a pro surgeon about your specific situation but you are correct most of the good ones will want to put in at least a small under the muscle implant when they do a lift because people are not happy with the lift alone overall when they go from like a C to an A and add in scarring.

Did you look smaller? I have large breasts and I was planning reduction and lift but I heard that a lift will also decrease the volume a little. How was the recovery?

Yes, they looked smaller after my surgery. Not small, but smaller. Mine had grown very large and pendulous with aging and weight gain, and the left was noticeably (at least to me) bigger than the right. Very saggy and large and matronly. The best part of the result of my surgery was how she made them equal in size and shape and lifted them up. She did take a lot of volume out, and liposuctioned on the sides under my arms because I had a lot of tissue there, but they didn't end up being all that much smaller at the end of the day. Not in bra size anyway. But they still looked and felt soooo much better. I remember when i consulted with her and mentioned a size I'd like to be, she explained why she didn't recommend that, and then explained what she thought would look best given my frame. I trusted her and I'm glad I did. I had been focused on "smaller." Much smaller. She was focused on what would work well to look best on my body. And with her experience she knew. I'm glad I trusted her knowledge and insight.

Recovery is a long-ish process. You don't get the surgery and then pop into Trousseau a month later looking to buy pretty new bras. You are in surgical bra for a while and then supportive recovery appropriate sports bras for a while as well. It's a pretty significant surgery.

But no regrets, aside from not doing it sooner.

I had a reduction and a lift, with no implants.

A lift can be very "effective" without implants, it just depends on your anatomy and what your goals are.

I am the person who hasn't worn a bra since 2024. Recovery is hard to gauge because I had it done with a tummy tuck and that was majorly painful for the first week or so and I dont remember anything about my breasts other than they were right up under my chin (it seemed) before they dropped but this was explained by my doc. I was a 36 DDD and had no implants just a reduction and my breasts are sitting up perky I don't need a bra and they are lovely. It was mostly skin removal vs loss of volume.

Sounds like this may be incorrect though. I too would love a little hitch up at my armpits.

It’s not nice to name call. It was a silly question though.

I had this done with my tummy tuck and I haven't worn a bra in more than two years. Life is wonderful

Cosmetics has sub-specialties. You don’t go to a face guy/gal for boobs or vice versa. Find a specialist in boobs, which may require travel.

On that note, you don’t say where you are, which will limit responses.

I never thought I’d consider it, but I’m newly single and close to 60, with pretty saggy boobs. Any suggestions for where to go for a boob lift? Not enlargement. Just to get rid of some of the sag.
