Aside: maybe 20 years ago, VZW really did have better coverage than most competitors. That is NOT true today.

Along Interstate highways and in most major metro areas there is little coverage difference across the big 3 carriers. Minor differences exist, but any of the big 3 might be best in some specific part of a major metro area, but all basically have similar coverage.

In a specific place, particularly in rural America, any carrier might be a bit better or worse. Check and compare coverage maps for the specific rural areas one frequents.

What changed is that more low-band (example: 700 MHz band) spectrum became available and T-Mobile bought a lot of it. Low-band spectrum has less propagation loss with distance than higher band spectrum. VZW was ill-advised by their "expert" in NJ and mostly bought higher frequency band 5G spectrum. AT&T and T-Mobile bought 5G spectrum more wisely, so their real world 5G coverage is better.

Same. I’ve had it for about four years. No billing, or any other problems.

I had a good experience with T-Mobile as compared to Verizon, but recently left for Mint Mobile because it's cheaper.

I’ve been hearing good things about Visible. Apparently they are owned by Verizon but charge significantly less per month. I’ve been with Verizon almost 30 years but I’m looking at my other options now. Loyalty doesn’t pay.

We have had Verizon for our cell phones and internet for years, but we are suddenly having billing issues with them where they are trying to over bill us. This is has happened multiple times over the past several months, and it requires a sometimes lengthy call each time to fix it. We are considering changing providers. Anyone have a good experience with T-Mobile?
