Same principle as for employment. For that I would list:

"XYZ position, ABC Corp (bought by DEF Corp), Jan 1900 - May 1907

Job description here"

College, B.A. Oldname (Newname as of 2023)

Use the original. That is what you earned.

I use the name that is on my actual transcript and diploma, even though it’s ridiculous now.

I would use the original information. Do interviewers even care about your degree from back then?

I’ve come across a few similar situations on Reddit and across message forums encouraging use of the new name but others saying the transcripts will reflect the old college information.

In my situation, the entire college name was changed and the degree concentration is no longer offered.

How would you list this in your resume?

Does it matter since it’s been 18 years?
