When our kids were that age, we visited Atlantic Beach, NC. Beach is great, but we visited Fort Macon, the aquarium on the island, went fishing on the sound side of the island, ate some great seafood in Morehead City... it was a pretty great 4-day trip.

Also Jekyll Island. Beach is only really beachy when tide is coming in and at high tide, but for nature there's not much that beats it. Kayaking in the salt marshes is super cool, hiking trails are great, you can take a day trip to Cumberland Island for even more wilderness. I'd say minimum 5 days to enjoy Jekyll.

The airport is close so you don’t need a car and an uber is cheap.

The on-site food is decent, and there’s all the food you could need within walking distance.

The pool is really nice, and the ocean is right there (including chairs!) We sleep in, get coffee and pastries, head down to the pool, swim, order poolside lunch, keep pins coladas flowing (virgin ones, too!) and change for a dinner stroll.

We stayed in the Marriott ho the street from there. They had free smoothies at the pool although I don’t know if that’s still true. I think they also had free bike rentals. It’s been a few years. Beach was nice.

Tons of places to stay but we like the Marriot Vacation Club properties because they have two bedroom suites right on the beach and nice pools.

Hawaii, of course, is always the answer except for the flights!

If you like snorkeling or diving, I might say go all the way down to Key Largo. They've got all the activities like jet skiing, fishing, and have a turtle rescue place, and some good restaurants.

Hilton Head has always been our choice for this because you can drive to Savannah, Beaufort or Charleston, if bored of the beach.

We love Hilton Head but it can be very uncomfortably hot and humid in late June. We don’t even go during the summer anymore.

The best easiest summer beach vacation we ever did was a glorious long weekend to Clearwater Beach, staying at the Sandpearl resort. There’s tons of nice, well-priced beachfront hotel options, loads of delicious restaurants in walking distance, and a free bus to take you around the area. The beach is huge, clean and beautiful. The water is truly clear and perfect, with gentle pleasant waves.

We Ubered the quick 25 minute ride from the airport to the resort, and didn’t rent a car. The hotel also had a free shuttle to take you places on demand, and pick you up. It was the easiest vacation ever. I highly recommend it.

Watercolor, FL. Rent a house w/ a golf cart. There are a bunch of pools, beach club, gorgeous beach, bike trails, and teens love hanging out in seaside in the evenings

Puerto Rico? Stay at the Wyndham ERio Mar and you are right on the beach but also easy access to biobay kayaking, el
Yunque, luquillo, and San Juan is an easy half hour drive.

We’re probably doing Europe for spring break next year, so for late June I want the total opposite: warm, easy, beach/pool, minimal logistics. Would love ideas for trips you actually loved in late June that felt relaxing and fun without being exhausting, but also not just sitting on a beach all day.
