Budget?

Would you consider a full stereo system (separate receiver, CD player, and loudspeakers), or do you need something smaller than that?

Slightly different question.

I am looking for a high-quality AM/FM/CD player. Have lots of CDs already. Not interested in subscriptions or streaming. Quality matters, not interested in random junk from Amazon or wherever.

Seconding Sangean.

Or look for an older (pre-1980s) table radio.

Look into Sangean radios.

Sharing for archival search purpose: I found that an amplified antenna is a thing & am going to try that.

All stream music, but I gotta say I love terrestrial radio did not be in the algorithm. I I love WTMD and WRNR.

In order to get them, I need a good radio with a connection and I’d really prefer not to stream the stations.

Are there older radios that I should be looking for a secondhand that would have the capacity to handle far away signals?
