They make almond milk based protein shakes now

I've had some clear protein bottled drinks. They have a strange after taste, but were okay super cold.
They also dried my mouth out, so I'd have to chug a ton of water to feel hydrated

Yes, I have isopure and I like it. It can be hard to get enough protein in if you are on a limited diet and I really don’t like smoothies and thick drinks, they make me gag. The flavors are fairly artificial tasting but for me it’s much easier to add a lot of ice and drink a glass of essentially cold flavored water than most other protein supplements. However, they are generally whey protein so not sure if that will be an issue if you are dairy intolerant?

My son got me to buy him some that he never drank, and I do find that I’m less sore after a workout if I drink it. It’s not my favorite, but if it’s ice cold I can drink it.

Why are you substituting real food for this overly processed stuff? I get that you can't eat eggs and dairy, but there are so many other real food choices.

I hate the regular protein powders that come in vanilla/chocolate flavors. I can't do it texturally. I've used 1UP with much more success. I also don't love juice, but 1UP is much more similar in texture to juice and I have no problems drinking it. I like the lemon flavor best.

I tried one and the taste was terrible. It definitely doesn’t taste like a juice as it was advertised. I couldn’t even get thru a single glass of it. It might be more palette able if you mixed it with fruit like a smoothie and not just water.

I keep getting ads for those Arrae protein + collagen + electrolyte packets and am intrigued to try, but they are expensive.

I’m with you OP. I’d try the Clean Simple powder if I could buy a couple sample packets to try.
Most of the protein added stuff is full of junk, although I like the Rx bars with mainly nuts, egg whites and dates…but they’re about 220 calories each.

OP here. I'm not talking about collagen. I'm talking about the super clarified whey protein that mixes up into a clear drink. It isn't chalky or heavy like protein powder and it is lactose free. They seem to come in fruit flavors rather than vanilla, chocolate, etc.

I’ve used collagen and put it in my hot coffee.

I keep seeing ads for clear protein. I have become egg and dairy intolerant and I'm tired of meat, chicken, and fish. I'm wondering if anyone has tried it and if they have a brand to recommend. I don't want to buy a whole big canister just to find out I don't like it.
