What happened after that is less mismanagment more McClean parents wanting their own thing, typical spoiled parent behavior at its finest.
The bigger question wth FVU is what's up with all the ACL injuries!?

Why cant they get their act together. All kidding aside on the alliances, they are best positioned to get kids around the beltway, but are generally viewed as lower level/ path of least interest. The rising U13s will be interesting as a lot of kids chose FVU over GA. I think the coach is supposed to be very meh. FVU was able to pick up the kids that couldnt get into VDA and Arlington too far away for those on western side of FFX county. 4-5 from Valor, 4-5 who declined NVA, some 2015s who probably shouldn’t be on the team (roster spot fill), and probably some kids sprinkled from other clubs around the DMV (VYS, BRYC, etc.). They will probably be third in line between VDA and Arlington but probably more competitive than originally projected given the NVA exodus.Anonymous wrote:And if CW ever moves to a different club, you know his teams are following him. And that leaves fvu with what?

I just checked the standings and all of the teams on the boys side have terrible records. One team was .500, the rest were all in last or second last place and there was even a team that has a -80 goal differential.
It’s not much better on the girls side once you cut out the 2012 and 2013 teams.
Would be a great boost to the competitiveness in the area if this club could get its act together. I don’t think it’s a case of too many teams, rather a lack of effort by this club to attract the 4-5 quality players they need from neighboring teams. Look at Villarreal, FPYC and grab a couple kids. I doubt anyone drives from more than 8-10 miles to play for FVU. What they have isn’t cutting it.
