Having kids is extremely exhausting.
It’s more exhausting for women, but it can also be exhausting for man, and you would need a younger woman who is going to expect you to be an equal partner raising the children.
This will completely end your life in ways you can’t imagine it is very expensive and you will be a very old parent.

If you wanted to be a parent, you really should’ve thought about this much much sooner. As it is, I’m not going to be done raising kids until I am 55 and to me that that’s even way too old. My pregnancies were not planned and they were when I was 34 and 37 which was older than I wanted to be if I was ever going to be a parent. My ex ex-husband is 52 and he won’t be done with raising kids until he is 59. He thinks that is also way too old and we are far ahead of you.

No, of course it's not too late. If you're invisible, it's because you're not attractive enough or don't have good pics. Work on your photographs. There are plenty of women of all ages, including divorced ones with kids, who want children.

And it's "should have", not "should of". Maybe work on your general knowledge and culture as well.

I know a lot of 47+ year old men having kids. But every one of them is on family number two. The vast majority dated younger after their divorces (early to mid-30’s) and had what we lovingly refer to as “trap babies”. So choose a childless 30-something woman to date and if you’re even remotely successful and financially secure you’re a really good target for those childless women of a certain age.

No, it’s not. Men can have kids at 80. Find a late 20s/early 30s woman, to have kids with.

Short answer - yes, 47 is too old to start a family. That ship has sailed.

Do you want to attend HS at 66+ years of age? No judgement, plenty of men do it…but is that what you envision for yourself? I think it depends on your current and future health (based on genetics). You don’t want to pass down old stale genes and you want to be there for them, willing and able to help take care of them. Think on it more.

You should reflect on why you didn't do it sooner. Did you have mental health issues, couldn't find a mate? If you're a low energy person in general, how will you have the energy for a toddler in your 50s? Are you just looking for a woman to take care of you into old age or wanting kids because you think it's what you're supposed to do? What is your financial situation? Can you retire when the kid is hitting college age, can you afford to lose half your assets in a divorce or support a SAHW or expensive therapies if your kids are disabled? Etc, etc.

No, but you have to lower your standards for women completely. Unless you are a 1% in terms of looks you'll need to settle for someone much lower in status than you to get someone that significantly younger.

It’s not too late. If you want bio kids, you’d have to find someone in her mid-30s, so I don’t know if that age gap matters to you. Otherwise as PP said you could find someone who wants to adopt. There are single childless women out there, OP.

I guess I should of started a family back around 2010 but I was really focused on my career. Now I realize my priorities were wrong.

I would say its late to start from scratch. Find a good partner and if both willing, adopt a foster kid in need. This way you three can help each other what's missing in your lives.
