We got a report that told us about DC's language skills, visual spatial, observations from the tester about frustration, effort, following directions, explaining their drawing, etc.
From that she focused on schools that would be good for DC

Oh I had never heard of anyone using it to help determine placement! What sort of feedback did it give you as far as placement? Or was it still kind of the professional gives you a high level sort of thing 😂

It's really just about in classroom readiness. How will they engage with teachers, in circle time, etc.
If your kid didn't pass there are really only 2 questions to ask:
1) Are they in an environment on the daily where they are exposed to classroom skills? If no, get them in one, if yes look at how they are doing in that classroom environment and if it is serving them
2) Did they just have a bad day? It happens A LOT and a small thing can lead you over the line if there are a lot of applicants
If you think the school is the right fit, add more classroom practice exposure and apply again. It actually shows a lot because many people get upset with the rejection and move on.

Subject: Kindergarten Readiness Test
We applied DD to a school for Pre-Kindergarten this year and she was given the Gazelle test. She didn’t get in and I wanted to see if anyone has heard of this test before?
The school said she can reapply and that they use the same test to see if she’s ready for Kindergarten.
Anyone know anything about this test since it’s not an IQ test?
