I wouldn't be worried about housing, but you may worry a bit about availability of classes. They fill fast. But Pitt hired a lot of new faculty so this should resolve itself.

I lived in a study lounge with 3 other girls at Pitt for 2 months one year, until I got a Lothrop single. I liked the single so much, I didn't really mind having the shared room for a few months.
