If he has AP Environment Science from 8-noon, does he attend his other classes after the test? I know this should be clear from the principal emails but at the moment, it's clear as mud to me.
On the day your student has an AP exam, he is not required to attend his classes, no matter the time of the AP exam. If he wishes to attend his classes before or after the AP exam, he is certainly welcome to do so, but most students do not attend classes at all.
If there is a standardized test at his school in the morning (such as MCAP, MISA, etc.), which requires a special testing schedule, students who are NOT taking the exam are allowed to arrive after testing for their required afternoon classes as long as they have transportation to school at that time. If they ride an MCPS school bus and do not have another ride, the high school will provide a location for study hall or other activities. If your student is taking the standardized test in the morning, he would arrive on time to take the test, followed by lunch and scheduled classes in the afternoon. High schools have four or five upcoming dates on which this type of schedule is happening.
