I am in my 40s and still get mistaken by people in their 20s for being their age.

If I were single, I would probably go younger. I feel younger men are more open-minded overall and I am more attracted to them.

Basically, older women are easy and want sex. Younger men are easy and want sex. Both have few demands about the nature of the relationship. Neither want anything more. So, pretty simple.

I'm an older woman who sort of fell into dating younger men.

A lot of it is that older men on dating apps don't pursue, while younger men do. Younger men will actually read my profile, comment on it, ask engaging questions, and ask me on a date fairly quickly. Meanwhile I have a 47 year old man on Tinder who has been messaging me about things like his new bike for the last 2 weeks and has yet to ask me on a date.

I'm not interested in a pen pal, so if a guy doesn't set a date within a week or two, I unmatch. That filters out a lot of older men. Out of every 5 men who ask me out, I'd say 4 of them are under 35.

I think it's also great that these younger men who don't want marriage/kids have an option that isn't wasting a younger woman's time and fertility. The worst thing is for them to date a woman their own age, waste years of her life, and then break up.

Also, younger men are usually more sex-positive and enjoying giving. I have to ask older men to give oral; younger men actually *want* to.

Makes sense. There's a glut of aging millennial mids.

As a man, if I were still in my early 30s (rather than my mid-50s), I would love to try a relationship like the one in your post.

Many, many women remain attractive in their mid-40s, and this demographic would not surprise you with an unplanned pregnancy or relationship drama (e.g., where is our relationship going, my parents keep asking if we are going to get married, I want to have kids while I am young enough to do so).

You both could easily start having fun and leave it without any hard feelings.
