This one might not be viable.
Because their child is still a minor it might not be feasible to leave town for an entire weekend.
Plus, most parents would not entrust their teenager home for a whole weekend as that sometimes equates trouble.

I.e., house party, having a boyfriend sleep over, etc.

Since you have a spouse, why not plan activities that you both can do together…..?
What are your interests??

Some ideas:

• Depending on your favorite genre, see a new release of a movie 🍿 the day it comes out.

• Do you both love to laugh?
Go to a great comedy show.

• See a concert together when your favorite band or musician is in town.

• Make a weekly game night.
Do you like board games?

• Work on a puzzle together……

• Organize/declutter a closet, a cupboard, the garage or basement.
Nothing like a good wknd reset!

My husband and I go out together on Friday nights. Sometimes I see friends on Saturday night, sometimes I stay in. We will watch a show or I’ll read or we drive our kids around.

Theater. We will go to quality high school theater, college theater, and less often the more expensive productions.

Not OP, but she didn’t make an assumption, she just specified what kinds of ideas she is and isn’t looking for to help them be more useful.

Sunday night is for shaboinking and trash TV

Saturday night we sometimes go to the horse races.

I’m looking for ideas.

The last 20 years or so my weekends have been mainly filled by my kids, but my youngest is now driving and I’m finding myself without a lot to do on weekend evenings. DH and I will occasionally go out to dinner, and about once a month we get invited somewhere. But often we have nothing to do on a Friday or Saturday night.

I’m specifically looking for things to do that aren’t drinking based activities. We both drink, but in a one is enough sort of way.
