Do you know if removing the fat of a puffy lower lid makes it more prone to aging/wrinkles later?

Anyone have an estimate of what an upper bleph in NoVA costs?

At 56 I did an upper with Rosalie Bair. Insurance paid to lift my lids that were partially covering my pupils and impairing my vision. Then I paid $900 to remove the extra skin created by the lid lift. Worth every penny because my vision and eye strain are vastly improved and I look 10 years younger.

My husband had the same surgery and added a purely cosmetic lower due to eye bags.

We’re both happy with the results, liked working with Dr. Bair, and found the procedures to be worth the expense.

Thanks! Did you do it in the DMV and if so would you recommend your surgeon?

Yes, Dr. Rostami.

Dr Naz worked with her, then went out on her own, right?

Yes.

Also I have seen Dr. Dunbar in Fairfax recommended.

Do you have puffy bags under your eyes? If so, that procedure involves removing the fat pockets under the skin. The issue with Lower Bleph is if the skin is just wrinkled and no puffy bags. That is a much more involved procedure.

I do. Have always had puffy bags under my eyes, even when I was a kid.

I have done some cosmetic consultations as I’m considering Botox and filler. I’m 55 and with having recently lost a lot of weight I’m feeling that I look old and tired. At one appointment I was steered towards surgery with both upper and lower bleph. It makes a lot of sense and I can afford it. But I feel really overwhelmed regarding what to do.

Obviously I have some research to do. But I’m thinking some folks here have made this choice and might have input? Advice? Recommendations re surgeons? TIA
