Thanks all!

This is OP. Thanks for the Theory reminder (and other ideas) and one of my favorite suits is from them but almost 20 years old (when I lived in NYC and shopping was easier, and was 8lb lighter so maybe that's why it was easier too).

Hobbs in Tysons or Talbots petites for dresses and jackets. For silk blouses and dresses, Alice & Olivia.

I shop at J Crew Factory, Quince, Pact, Anthro, and Madewell for my go-tos. I always buy petite inseam pants, high-waisted (even though I’m small, my stomach is not what it once was now that I’ve had kids). Also, check Poshmark for petite clothing items. I have gotten some high end things in excellent condition for a really good price.

For cheaper/trend items, I occasionally find stuff from Abercrombie or H&M.

Similar to you but I wear mostly skirts and dresses since pants are so dang hard to find. I have long arms so blazers tend to be easy for me. Dress with a blazer is super professional and easy. For this - JCrew, Dillard’s, Nordstrom, sometimes Macys. Never Ann Taylor or Banana republic as the quality just sucks. I like to keep classic pieces for years. Quince is something I tried recently but it feels too cheap to me too - the dresses are super comfy though so I’ve been paring that with a blazer or silk scarf.

+1. She's 4'10". The key here is just that you need tops that would typically work for someone under 5'.

I find European brands better for petites such as Hobbs London, Reiss, Sandro.

The loft, Talbots and banana republic have good options for petite sizes. They have a better selection online.

I am 5'1" (if standing straight) and between 104-8 pounds if not overly stressed or overly slothy. To make matters worse, my legs are relatively normal length but I have a short boney torso. (Carry weight in upper arms and thighs and not in chest, back, belly -- gymnast body -- which makes clothes extra hard.)

I am having a terrible time finding good quality petite silk blouses and tailored jackets. In my prior role, I just wore lots of causal to business like dresses daily but need more conference/presentation options.

So, any recommendations of where to look for good petites overall and bonus if you're built like a gymnast and have had luck with particular pieces??
