My kids always write "To X From Y" on the wrapping paper or attaching a gift tag to a gift bag in case the card gets detached. They're teens and this is just ingrained in them now. Start them young, PPs, and it will just become a habit!

I agree it is a courtesy to sign your gift, but I think people just forget. And I think they forget that you will probably take all the gifts home and not open them one by one.

Cause we're idiots 😆 At least we remembered a gift. I would never expect a thank you for a gift I didn't label though. I'm incompetent but not delusional.

To me, your post is rude and off-putting. Either the kids will sort it out (one might ask dd if she liked her ___) or they won't. Let it go and next time pay attention when they are arriving. There is little you can do about this now. You need to relax. There is no need for a psa, just be thankful for the gifts.

Maybe try just wishing you could know who to thank instead of being upset about it? Parents are busy enough. If their kid didn't want to or didn't have time to make a card, so be it.

My daughter had her birthday party last night and received not one, but THREE gifts without any indication of who they are from. Why do so many people forget this step in gifting?

So, as a PSA, please make some indication on the gift you're giving that it's from your child, so the recipient can thank your kid specifically. A handmade card or even just writing "from Larla" on the bag. Please and thank you.
