Surprised there is not more posting in this thread given the ongoing debate over the curfew between Bowser and the council.
I'm a longtime critic of Bowser and have never viewed curfews as a great solution, but find myself firmly on her side and exasperated with the council at this point. Especially after the back and forth in the last week.
In particular, I found myself nodding along to these comments from Bowser, criticizing both the council's inaction AND parents over what is happening with these big fights/gatherings of wilding out teens in the city:

I also found myself particularly frustrated to see my own councilman, Zach Parker, post this Twitter in response to Bowser:

Here's the tweet, for those who don't want to click the link to a Reddit post: "This is offensive. The truth of the matter is the Mayor's strategy has failed. Everyone knows the curfew isn't working. Instead of working to advance alternative solutions *with* the Council, she continues to lob insults and dog whistles that play well to the MAGA base."
I was especially impressed at his accusation of using dog whistles in the same sentence that he employs a dog whistle ("MAGA base") to link Bowser to Trump. I will not be voting to re-elect Mr. Parker when he's next up for election.
The Council is a joke. It is hard to get me rooting for Bowser, but they did it!
