Just being thin, no.

Being thin and jacked (like in shape) goes a long way. At my gym there 2-3 late 30s or 40s women who face wise are average- but they are ripped and to me adds a lot to their attractiveness.

Then of course there are women who are pretty , implants and jacked who are whole next level.

But to me I definitely put the average looking with great body in same class as natural beauty and/or cosmetic surgery in same class.

Thin and average looking, good skin. Not made a dent to dating life either.

Being thin hasn't helped my dating life.

I just reread this and I didn’t mean to imply all French women are ugly. I just meant that the unattractive ones tend to dress well and it makes them appear more attractive.

No. I work with a woman who is thin but has frizzy stringy hair, sun damaged skin with wrinkles, and a nose like a stereotypical witch. Also I don't know if she shops there specifically but she dresses like her clothes are from Chicos. Single as a Pringle.

Meanwhile I work with another woman who is not fat but kind of has a body like Callie on Grey's Anatomy, dresses really well, is mediocre looking but super smart and kind and in the ten years I've known her been in two relationships long term (second is husband) with great-seeming guys.

Yeah, PP is right. Thin and unattractive works if you dress well. French women for example are very good at this.

Thin and unable to have children? Men would rather have a healthy weight partner, and a partner who has not sabotaged their health.

There’s a mom on my DD’s soccer team who is tall and thin and impeccably dressed. I always thought she was beautiful from a far until I met her up close. She is definitely not. But her body and clothes take her quite far on the overall attractiveness scale.

hahaha. this is pretty accurate from my perspective. i suspect most other guys feel the same

I’ve always thought of this as a bit odd—it feels like such a low bar, mostly seen in the US. It works, but beauty is about facial features, and I feel like that doesn’t get as much attention.

We know men don’t like fat women. But what if you’re thin and are not conventionally attractive?
