I disagree if by "better" you mean more literary or nonfiction. People read to escape, and she was writing to escape. Her books are good for what they are - quick, easy thrillers and domestic dramas. She wasn't looking to earn awards, she was escaping her very demanding day job.

I didn’t realize she is also a brain physician too >> but since 2023 now only goes into work as one maybe 1-2x/month.
