I don’t think it’s a hook in the same vein at URM, Athlete, Development, Faculty Kid, etc, but I think it helps if your kid has the stats to get in and applies ED. Maybe instead of a 10% chance, they have a 20% chance. But we also know legacies with goods who apply ED who don’t get in.
