I had some new seedlings develop from my mature hellebores, so I've been researching this. The range of time to first bloom really varies based on the growing conditions. In ideal conditions you can get first bloom in 2 years, but it could also take 5 years.

If they look healthy, I'd just wait them out and maybe buy one already in bloom to plant near them if you feel impatient.

Are they getting the appropriate level of sun? Hellebores do best under deciduous trees. So they get a good amount of sunlight in late winter (when they bloom) and only doppled sun in summer. The ones I have that get less sun have fewer flowers.

BUT they do take a few years to flourish so if the sunlight is OK, maybe next year?

Mine don't either- had them 5 years. Boring looking. Would love some tips.

I bought hellebore plants (small ones, no flowers yet) and planted them last year. Now only 2 of the 5 have flowers. They are all healthy looking with lots of green leaves. Is there anything I can do to get flowers ? Will they flower next year or later this year?
