OP, do you have anyone at your work who could help with this? Someone who isn't Mom or Dad, or any family or close friends, but someone who is a third party.
I remember this woman handing me a pencil, and telling me, "sell me this pencil." I was flummoxed, had no idea what to say. But she would not let me out of it and I finally got the hang of it. She got me to stop answering questions with one word, or one sentence, but to reply in a paragraph, giving real examples. Things like that.
