It seems like he likes names that are very feminine. What about names that are very feminine for him and classic for you.

If he likes names that are people he knows, what if you think through the people he knows who have names you like?

Husband's names are not great except I think Kendra is a hidden gem name that is underused but lovely. It has a complicated etymology but is derived from two Scottish names meaning "beautiful, good" and "esteemed, revered."

I also love the simplicity of Eve.

Husband's names not strong. I'm of the camp you want to imagine a girl who can turn into a woman where world is her oyster - leader in board room, etc, etc. All of his future woman could have trouble being taken seriously.

Both of you like names that are a bit too fussy. You'd probably be best served by going with the simplest names you both like.

I like Eve and Kendra best of your choices.

How about Emma or Emily instead of Emmeline? Lauren? Laurel? Grace?

Don't do Disney Princess names (Jasmine, and Bella is close to Belle), cursed faux-preppy (Kennedy), or names with alternate spellings (Marisa/Marissa).

Bella - It’s kind of a dog’s name at this point.
Camille - It’s pretty. I really don’t like Cam or Cammy (which it WILL be shortened to).
Emmeline - I’m not clear on how to pronounce this. It’s a little much.
Eve - It’s pretty but very short.
Iris - It sounds like an old lady’s name.
Marissa - I really like this.
Naomi - It’s becoming too popular.
Sienna - I don’t love it.

Desiree - I like this a lot. I knew one that didn’t fit the stereotypes at all.
Janay - It’s pretty. I thought it was spelled “Janae”.
Jasmine - It just reminds me of the Disney princess. I think Middle Eastern women pull it off a lot better than anyone else. It sounds kind of trashy on everyone else.
Kendra - It’s nice and a lot better than Kendall.
Kennedy - I’m not a fan of presidential last names as first names. It feels like a sorority girl name.

Sorry but your husband’s names are AWFUL! Yours are much nicer - except Sienna - lots of Siennas in the foster system. My favorite of your names is Iris - I haven’t seen that one in a long time.

Bella - generally short for Isabelle/a - she will get asked all the time if that's her real/full name
Camille - pretty
Emmeline - too frilly
Eve - ugly
Iris - see Eve
Marisa - very cool
Naomi - okay I guess
Sienna - lil trashy

I'll just say it - your husband has trashy taste, but sure we can go through each one.
