It’s an expense because you will have to update all of those cupboards, lots of old carpet everywhere, old lighting fixtures, worn out roof, etc. This place will need lots of remodeling.

I’m baffled that someone trying to sell a home for $1.7 million in McLean didn’t even hire a photographer.

Lots in that area regularly sell for well over a million.

Huh?

If you follow the street view, you can see the other driveway to the right. I thought it was a walking path at first but the PP is right about it being a private driveway to a house out back.

This house is insanely overpriced for the following reasons:

Roof- needs replacing.
The house feels extremely dated- Everything light fixtures and most finishings will need to be replaced - price should reflect that.

They didn't even seem to pay for proper pictures - the toilet is open in two pictures and there is jergen's lotion on the bathroom counter. If they cheapened out on something that is in their best interest, I would wonder what else they have been cheap about. I don't see any updates to the house whatsoever.

This listing should be shared on the thread asking if staging matters. I think better staging would help.

Awkward that the agent set an offer deadline and it’s still available.

+1. Might not be able to get home insurance without replacing that roof.

Because it has another house and its driveway behind it.

The sad teddy bear sitting in a room alone, shoved into a corner, says it all.

Spring market is very hot in McLean, but this house is sitting for 25 days. Any problem with it?
