Agreed on ranked choice. Though I think Lasher will likely win. We could do worse. But we could also do a lot better.

All of them are terrible.

The Lasher ads are out of control. We don't watch too much TV but it is all I see. Ironic for a guy who I believe was vocal about trying to get money out of politics. Though I don't know who else to vote for...

At this point, it’s like people talking about if they would have won civil war battles if Lee had shown up a day earlier. It’s over — move on.

For the next two years, I’m good with someone doing damage control while serving the district.

I was kidding! Who cares where anyone went to high school? I do like what I've read about him though. Lasher seems fine too.

I went to Penn and I'm not voting for Trump!

Though I do think Bores is a pretty good candidate. Trying to learn more about him besides the stuff grabbing headlines.

Lasher is really dominating the spending. The fact that he recently introduced a bill to cut back on political spending by corporations makes this incredibly hypocritical (I know that Bloomberg is an individual but come on) and is a real turnoff. But he seems to constantly practice situational ethics.

I’m in for conway or schlossberg -

Conway b/c he f-ing hates trump with a passion and if he gets into office, he’ll use his lawyerly brilliance (he ran the clinton impeachment) to dismantle the admin with extreme prejudice. He also won’t run for reelection once trump is gone.

Schlossberg b/c we know him from high school and he’s a smart, funny, decent guy with a bright future ahead of him.

Yes - thanks - I liked the guy they most recently profiled (Timmins) - he had a number of really good, centrist, pragmatic ideas though a few were a bit out there. Not sure if he will get the name recognition to get enough votes to win. I wish there was ranked choice voting for this one.

Agree that Bores also seems pretty good.

I'm probably voting for Alex Bores because he seems to be the guy who evil Trumpy tech people fear the most (they've literally got Palantir founders funding ads attacking him for working for Palantir).

Conway is a Republican, Schlossberg is a lightweight from a political dynasty that should have been put to rest when Teddy died, Lasher seems fine but uninspiring.

Anyone else in Nadler's district? Any thoughts on the candidates? There are a lot of them and it is hard to sort through the clutter. And it is not ranked choice so you have to pick one. With so many candidates the winner might not end up having that many votes, especially since it will be a primary so turnout will likely be low.

I have been seeing a lot of ads and getting fliers for Lasher - I think he got funding from Bloomberg. I liked Bloomberg a lot but Lasher reminds me too much of Stringer - lifelong eager beaver pol who is constantly overanalyzing things and tweaking his position to get elected. We could do worse, but hopefully could do better.
