Are they mulching your yard with gold flakes?

They must be Leprechauns playing with gold and getting into mischief.

I feel like someone even comes out to water their lawn daily in the fall when the reseed. They have about 1/2 acre I think. Seems crazy to me but they said it was going rate for the level of service they wanted. They are wealthy and don’t like even a small dry spot on their lawn.

OP, stay away from Wheat’s.

I would never pay for the landscaping service in advance. Certain companies have crews who just stop by your property, take a look from the truck, and drive away.
It’s your choice, but I strongly suggest to pay once the work has been properly completed.

I pay $50 for biweekly mowing for 0.5 acre. We get the beds mulched, gutters cleaned and bushes trimmed for $700 (one-time payment) in spring and around $700-800 in fall for cleanup, lead blowing and gutter cleaning. If I need anything else done I pay by the job.(MoCo).

Whoa, that seems very high. I would call 2-3 places and get free estimates. I would NOT pay that though.

We pay $1200 annually for lawn mulch, and trim. Additional $600 for leaf clean-up.

Then $47 per lawn service every two weeks (April-November). We have 1/3 corner lot.

So between $2500-$3000 each year.

If the estimate is per YEAR instead of month then you got a deal, otherwise, RUN!

How tall are the trees? Pruning mature trees is definitely expensive.

no, that is way too much. Are you having them weed every week or something?

I pay $30 a week to get lawn mowed on 1/3 of an acre. Extra to fertilize grass. Pruning is done by a different company nd that is bout $2k for the whole year.

Just moved to NoVa and received a quote for routine landscaping maintenance of $1,500/month. Property is about an acre, standard suburban lawn, trees, bushes, etc. Is this in the ballpark of what others pay?
