Also, naming coaches that have had a positive impact on my kid’s lives will just open them up to anonymous slander. Every program on here has had people who have had both good and negative experiences. Coaches look at these threads. If you want to get actual feedback on coaches, talk to people you know in real life. Talk to parents of older swimmers on your summer team. Meet the coaches at tryouts. This place is full of anonymous people, some with agendas, some without.

I have 2 teens and they have good things to say about their practice groups coaches. My opinion doesn't matter because I don't watch their practice (I never have). However, I echo the PP in that I'm not going to provide names.

What are you basing these recommendations on because there is no way you have personal experience with all of them. This thread is not super helpful if people are just throwing out what they have heard through the grapevine about coaches.

AAC has exceptional coaches, once you are in age group and age group prep level and above.

Anna Cheng, MLK site for RMSC (also at Stonegate). Works with the minis and jrs. Doesn't get the big accolades for the more advanced groups coaches, but she lays the foundation for all of it. Breaks down every race, every distance, every stroke so even a 5 year old can grasp it. My kids learned a ton from her.

There’s a lot of stupid jockeying in this sub about best and worst clubs, sites, etc. Here’s a chance to positively reflect: Does your swimmer have a coach that is an exceptional teacher? Someone who breaks down the strokes (or maybe just really good at teaching, let’s say, backstroke)? Someone who has clearly developed swimmers? Who are the exceptional teachers out there (and where do they coach/what site)?
