You guys needs to prioritize differently.

This is the second team of a small club. So not relevant. Hopefully it won’t affect playing time for the younger kids like the other posters are mentioning. Not all the kids made their high school soccer team.

Amazing revenue. Assuming about a $3000 fee, the club is raking in almost $100,000 for one team, with one coach. At most they have $15,000 in outside costs - league and tournament fees, field rental, player registration, etc. Do you feel like the coach is providing over $80,000 in value?

I agree. You will see seniors stop coming. Roster will probably be down to 22 by mid season.

So much truth to this. At this level, the players truly have to earn the playing time. Most coaches will go big especially if they don't mind them playing on their school team. Not to mention, this season there will be a lot of Sat games due to shortages of refs. We are already seeing this affecting schedules.

No the coach is the same. He’s a pretty good coach. So not a coaching problem as far as I know.

HS players have a lot of other activities and frequently miss games. I wouldn’t worry to much about it

We have just been informed that my son’s travel team (sophomores/juniors/seniors) has combined teams for the spring and now has a roster of 31. 31!!! I’ve never heard of such a large team. How is playing time going to work for this? Any folks with experience with such a large team?
