National weather service is the best.

I use accuweather which has been good with its predictions lately including snow amount.

I don’t know but CWG has not been very accurate lately, either with snow ie today’s storms. Everything is overhyped.

I use MyRadar free app to monitor storms realtime. It’s a good supplement to weather reports to see the local details and to figure out gap timing on scattered storms.

Weather Underground. A farmer friend told me about it and I figured that if a farmer uses it, it's good.

If you happen to be in the DMV, this is the local office

https://www.weather.gov/lwx/

Any app is pulling model data/or just using the weather service and putting their own spin on top. That's the original source

Also agree Capital weather gang gives you context and information to understand the prediction/forecast.

I use the Weather Channel, which has a radar feature, so I can see what's happening and what will likely happen.

I think their write ups of upcoming, daily weather are bad, though, and while they do have a feels like temp there's not enough context.

Spend a couple minutes reading a report from either your local NWS office or Capital Weather Gang. They both do a good job of laying out all the scenarios. It's not an app, sorry. The apps are just pulling weather model data and have 0 insight for complex weather patterns.

Following this.

I just know it’s not the Apple weather app. It’s ridiculously inaccurate.

I’m not much of a storm watcher - I check enough to know the temp and if it’s going to rain.

But what’s a good app that’s easy to understand to watch whatever is going on today? So many apps seem unnecessarily complicated.
