My agency has been firing people for arbitrarily IT policy infractions (I heard someone was fired for streaming music on their work computer; another for forgetting their PIV when they had to run to the bathroom). I’m not putting my head up to ask about clarification until things have cooled off — I just wasn’t sure if I was unreasonable to want to make myself more functional by wearing a headset or if that is just gov life.

Everybody at mine uses bluetooth headsets (we provide our own). Why don't you ask?

CAC/PIV - ID card. So if you get up to go the bathroom or take a phone call in another room, not taking out your security card is immediately fireable.

We are not in a SKIF or anything national security related
