Oldest child will be going to kindergarten uptown in the fall and we are a downtown family with younger preschool children down here.
We're now staring down several years ahead of opposite commutes for school dropoff, and wondering if it's totally out of the question to try to get the younger ones placed in an uptown preschool off-cycle? Obviously we could apply in the fall for the following year, just wondering if there's any wiggle room from now til Sept?
Very happy with our current downtown school, so we'd be targeting preschools that would make the disruption worth it, albeit way harder for off cycle. 92NY, Episcopal, All Souls, Brick Church, etc.
Wondering if it would help at all that our oldest is starting a 2T/TT school so their siblings theoretically have an easier K exmissions ahead? Is that attractive to a preschool?
Feel free to tell me I'm naïve and it's impossible
