No wedding ring. Said he’s never married with no kids. Mentioned an ex-gf. But, I do know there’s a reputation, so who knows.

He was cute. But realistically, even if we had exchanged numbers, nowhere it could really go.

I’ll just keep it as a fun story. It’s hard for me to tell when men are flirting with me, I’m always afraid to read into it and embarrass myself.

I see a million pilots on the dating apps. I have dated a pilot. Yes he was flirting. Probably looking for a new squeeze in your city. He's bored with his wife.

Hard to say. We just went on spring break with another family but flew on separate airlines. After we met up at the resort the dad told us the life story of the woman he had been sitting next to on the plane (which was quite interesting). His wife and daughter had been across the aisle from him and he had been sitting next to this other woman the whole flight. He loves his wife as much as any man I know, so he was 100% not flirting with her, but he is just the kind of person who loves talking to and meeting new people. And when he talks to you he's very magnetic and engaging so I could see how someone who didn't know him might think he was flirting. I know a few pilots (former Navy) and they're all pretty gregarious and talkative. One in particular I see a lot at my kids' sports practices and we always have great conversations but we're not both married and in a million years I've never thought he was flirting with me although if we were both single I guess maybe I'd wonder if he was interested. In any event, don't kick yourself, if it was meant to be, you'll find each other.

I remember once being at an airport and seeing a pilot and a woman sneak into one of those shops that sell magazines and snacks and start making out in a corner.

Clearly he was having an affair and they didn't want to be seen.

I sat next to an off-duty pilot on a flight today. The entire flight he chatted with me, asked me questions, etc. I think he was flirting a little because he asked about my dating life and made comments that I must get asked out a lot. So it was a bit more than regular flight chat but not at the same level as, say, if i meet a guy at a coffee shop and we talk and flirt.

I was too terrified I was reading into the situation and didn’t give him my number, but I guess he couldn’t give me his since it’s technically his work. And I know pilots have a pretty bad reputation. But now I kind of wish I had.

Was he interested or was I reading into it?
