THIS. I dated a guy who started off the same (using that slur in private) and eventually he started saying REALLY embarrassing things around gay people in public. Loudly. I was mortified.

I would end things over this, and I don't say that often on this forum. He's the type of guy who would say homophobic/racist/sexist BS and write it off as "but I don't actually hate that group!".

Today my boyfriend dropped the F word (related to gays). I was appalled and told him so. He justified himself saying he can say it because he doesn’t actually hate gays and everyone knows it.

I just don’t even know what to say. I feel like ending things.
