You can probably get everything you need from your regular doctor, if you don't need yellow fever. They just give you a prescription for anti-malaria pills and typhoid. The vaccine for typhoid is taken orally over, every other day for a week. All you need the doctor for is to write a prescription. Most will also give you a prescription for a z pack. Travel clinics can do this also but some don't take insurance.
Can anyone recommend a travel medicine clinic that will know what vaccines we need for an upcoming trip to Africa and can administer vaccines and prescribe anti malarials and other things like just-in-case z-pack to 2 adults and two adult-sized teens? Bethesda/Rockville preferred and it would be amazing if they have Saturday appointments and accept insurance.
