Yes, you can prune them today.
"Like all panicle hydrangeas, ‘Limelight’ blooms on new wood. ‘Limelight’ hydrangea pruning should take place in late winter or early spring. Remove any dead, broken or diseased branches and cut plants back by a third of their size."

We already have spring blooms happening so the insects will be fine.

Subject: Can I prune my little lime hydrangeas tomorrow, March 14?
These hydrangeas do need to be pruned in an early spring. Is it too soon to do it tomorrow? I will be traveling at the end of next week so this is the best weekend for me to do this.
I do worry about insects that may be sheltering/laying eggs in the old blooms. If I throw them all in a pile in the corner of my yard, will that interfere with their life cycle or do I really need to leave them until May?
