She should have used the interview to show interest. A letter is not the way to navigate this situation

But - she can reach out to her admissions officer with a question - and drop in how much she appreciated the opportunity to learn more about (insert name of school) during the scholarship weekend.

Don’t submit extra materials they haven’t requested. That shows an inability to follow instructions and willingness to put more on people’s plates when they haven’t asked for it.
